There is noise everywhere and the oil light came on today. This means no oil pressure. The car is getting towed to the mechanics on Thursday morning. I was super clean...The car was going like a bullet!!! I drove it till the afternoon thinking how good wsid will be then bung ..it happened. Some thing has given way .I checked the compression and its fine. This morning it idled fine and fairly quiet. After a while the light flickered on/off. Near home it just stayed on..Got home, dropped the sump to try and see inside and could not see anything.
What would cause no oil pressure? A wrecked oil pump? A blockage?

Just a quick note on removing the BBM should you decide to attack it again. I've found it easiest to remove the upper part of the manifold first (using an allen key to crack, then a cordless drill and hex head extension to remove the bolts) and then the fuel rail along with the injectors. This leaves it all clear and the bolts very accessible.

Best of luck with it all Stav.

don't know mate ,somethings let go .theres not much that can go wrong with what you did .
did you block the oil galleries in the head while you were trying to get the bolts undone? maybe something drop down there ?
it wouldn't be the first time someones dropped somethin down there .the first cam i put in mine the (jmm).i dropped the micrometer tip down an oil gallery trying to dial in the stupid cam .it lived in there for 2 days before i changed the oil and fished it out :

no oil pressure is serious ,could it just be a dud sensor , maybe you bumped a wire somewhere .
just remember its only $500 a for a replacement engine.its what keeps me going .

I think you are right.I never drive the car hard until at least 15 minutes has passed to get the oil well circulated for protection. That day was just like a godsend to me with the way it was going fast and I gave it too much too soon.

Hope you find out what's wrong with it ... and hopefully it's not too muc of an expensive fix either.

If it's really bad ... 2nd hand low-km AU engines go for around $700.
