The turbo itself made 180rwkw but was de-tuned so it would last the month however it didnt even last a night. I can still drive it just need to keep it below 2500rpm otherwise it starts to get a bit too excited. Goes back Jan 3rd and should with a new turbo easly make over 200rwkw.

Too bad about the dud mate, that must have really ****ed you off. Will be great to see what figures it makes with the new turbo.

nice work on the interior etc. as far as the economy goes, 190km for half a tank seems right to me, if not better than usual!

he got the turbo in a kit 2nd hand off a forum member i beleive..
and i dont beleive the member listed it as good or bad..

Nah neither it was pretty much dead. It had been sitting around so long the seals in it went hard which gave the appearance of no shaft play however once it got running the thing has nothing but shaft play in it. The unit itself is useless and wouldn't even be useful as a door stop

what model was the turbo and what model are you getting????? im guessing the dead one was bush type?

the old turbo sounds like a good thing to rip apart to see how it works aye!!

Yeah not sure what I am going to do with it yet. Not sure if its useful for anyone as a rebuild or not. If not I might use it as a boat anchor
