You wouldn't understand! I tried typing a reason but that's all I came up with. I do pretty much drive mine daily but I won't take it to work everyday or park at the station because vandalism and theft wouldn't take too long to occur when it stands out so much, and mainly for the fact I don't want dumb shits opening doors (or throwing trolley's) in to me.

Anyways, sell the turbo. It's the silliest idea I heard of... turbo daily? Youll need a daily for your daily. Then you can turbo the daily for the daily and get another daily then you'll have a two daily's and a proper daily unless of course you decide to turbo the daily for the daily daily.

Put the blower/LPG gear on your daily and get a GT42 for the EA.

I understand where you are coming from Sunny but I care about my EF just as much as yourself and steve care about you EA's. Sure mine isn't in the same league as your EA's, but i bought it to enjoy it, and that's what I am doing.

his ea has stupid amounts of money spent on it, not very practical for a daily even if it is on gas...

Well along with the other reasons, fuel is a major issue. After being brought up in a family full of gas cars any time I go to the servo (no matter how good fuel economy is) I cringe.

Good point a daily is just that, a daily.
To then have a project / tough streeter in the shed to roll out at your whim is the added bonus. For those that say why have it there and drive it once a week ( be it a GT or any car ), it's that time where it is all worth while and you can enjoy the hard work that has gone into your car.

So to you original Q.

Have a daily as just that, a daily
Have a project / tough streeter you plough some $ and time into, but in response to the third part of your question, keep a balance beetween your mods and your current and future lifestyle and throw a few $ each way so that you have a complete balance in your approach.

Just my 2 c

Steve, I think you should keep the ED as a daily - get it on straight gas, chuck in a T5 and a decent diff just to ease some of the pain.

Sell the kit and go on a holiday. From what I've gathered you've been working long and hard to fund this EA, so take a rest and have some memories to look back on.

Leave the ED as it is. It's a daily. I fell into that trap. NC is soon to not be the daily. Ah well.

Both.

Keep the ED looking the same and have it set up for low boost.
Then is will remain an economic daily.
Also be an awesome sleeper.

the whole point of a daily is that's it's economical and reliable......don't turbo your daily, or else you'll need a daily for your daily like Sunny said. Just pour all your cash into one car (the EA) and sell me your turbo manifold :P

Ok guys, looks like the daily is gunna stay NA. Thanx guys for persuading me into keeping it that way, as i was destined to dig myself another money hole. Money will most likely be pumped back into the EA...

For anyone wondering the turbo kit is already sold...

Good call. I agree with keeping the ED stock and lavishing the EA.

Let me know when the blower is up for sale, and better to keep a daily normal, maybe just an exhuast, cam and chip will get it going and still be almost stock.

Shouldn't be too long a wait, prolly gunna sell after the Geelong dyno day. Looking at $2000 with bracketry. You will need to fit an AU air con compressor to get that bracket to work tho....

Be prepared for one angry sounding EA :P
