Awesome looking install, one thing I miss from my old EB was the massive boot for installing subs. I am still trying to work out how many subs I can fit in the boost of my R33 sedan. That work looks quality sphell so expect a phone call regarding an install in the next month or so.

you should have carpeted the black area, give it a "hidden away" feeling.

That's looking really good guys. Not too over the top and it should still be practical enough to keep some stuff in there.

Yeah mate it's gone. Hasn't had a proper spare in there for over 18 months and the jack and tools have been removed too.

*UPDATE*

Had the arvo off today so did a bit more on Sunny's boot. It's dragging out a fair bit because both Sunny and I are busy with work etc....but it's gettin there!

I reckon 2 more full days and it should be complete. (Should be done by end of next week).

Today we got the Alpine CD/VCD stacker and DVD/MP3 player mounted in the RHS panel of the boot. Sunny had another old skool Alpine CD stacker as well but we thought 1 was enough. Plus it looked a bit bogan compared to the newer gear.

Also trimmed the spare tyre well and mounted the amps in a "staggered" floating type arrangment. The pics make it look a bit 2-dimensional but it looks better in real-life. Got the false floor cut out and next time I work on it I'll trim that up in grey carpet and put some glass over the "amp viewing window".

Here's some pics of today's work.

What are you doing to cover the corners where the hinges rescind?

and where does the spare tyre go?

Don't worry bout the hinges gap, it's sorted....I'm doing that last.

There's no spare, Sunny's gonna carry round a can of that fix-a-flat stuff.

Keeps looking better and better............fair bit of time and effort gone into that.

Have you cranked it yet?

How is the boot rattle? If any that is...........

Nice collection of stackers too...........yeah and I agree an added old skool stacker would of been out of place or as you say "boganish" lol

this is lookin great guys.... sometimes i wish i had a sedan...
2 questions
1. will the whole system be running off the CD & MP3 h/u u have installed in the boot?
and 2. y put them in the boot? not exactly easily accessable when criusin'! (i do realise it a stacker)

Nah there is an Alpine in-dash screen up front that controls everything except the DVD player which will be run through the AUX input. The DVD player has a IR reciever that is mounted in the cabin so you can control it with the supplied remote even though it's in the boot.

Looks great sunny

Doug, seems your making a name for yourself these days which is great for your business (better the strathy aye?)

Quote:
Edit: Damo - Won't need a capacitor, IMO they are a **** item anyway, all they do is add resistance to the power supply. And when you draw current through resistance, it equals voltage drop The battery is only about a meter away from the amps so they'll get all the power they need.
LOL remind me to dispute this on msn :P

There are straps up the top which go over the little sill bit, and the rubber that goes over that holds it tight. There is also a bracket under the base.

The system is running now and pumps hard but cuts out at only a third of what it can achieve. Doug (sphell) reckons another battery and a later model higher rated alternator will fix it.

It'll be done by the 25th of Feb, where I'll be displaying the car in the AFF stand at FPV Family day. I hope anyways.
