Good to hear that it sort of has a happy ending. I guess you can use the damage rim as a spare now.

good to hear you got your money mate. Which hotel was it? reason i ask is that i work at a 5 star hotel in the city, and i know they will pretty much cave into anything. Anyone raise an issue and its dealt with by throwing free accomodation, big fruit baskets, bottles of wine and massages/facials at them.

Sorry to take the thread of topic.
The rules of AFF state that personal attacks are not acceptable, so I WILL NOT say that if you want to take your pride and joy to a bunch of incompetent fools that sell wheels and tyres, go to a place with the initials of Donellans the tyremen. These clowns will not only sell you a set of wheels that you later find are an illegal fitment, and also damage your guard as soon as you drive home, they will also argue the toss and refuse to give you your money back almost ending in violence and police attendance at one of their stores.

“We will give you a credit so you can buy a new set of wheels” they say, after two weeks of fighting.
You purchase a set of Simmons wheels with tyres, $4,760, take them home and leave them inside for five days until you get a chance to fit them to your vehicle, and guess what? They’re all flat.
These professionals who are more than proud to brag about the 40 years they’ve been in business don’t even know that Lux flakes can’t be used as a lubricant when fitting tyres to three piece rims as it corrodes the internal seal.

So, go to Donellans the tyremen for all of your wheels, tyres, brakes and suspension needs.
Oh, I nearly forgot, the excellent service.

Cheers

The funny thing is that they probably thought that is only one customer that won’t be back, however, I’ve lost count of the amount of people that I’ve told who will never shop there.

In the end, they’re the losers.

The point here is all about "respect", which not many people seem to care about.
( like the guy in the white EL falc or Futura that smashed into my towbar while in traffic then took off, no couldn't get the rego but there will be a nice towball inmpression in the front off that car!) Keep a look out for him!

I'm not saying for people to go and wrought the system to get a free basket of fruit or whatever at the hotel, but if you see something then make these dopes pay.
Maybe our insurance premiums will go up, cost to stay at the hotels will rise??
I have sent a PM to Mash letting him know which hotel it was, dont want to advertise it as I can't afford to fight a court case for slander.

(scary isn,t it).

Maybe I will just park myself and let them ride shotgun>
For this to be legally binding the person you are recording needs to know that you are recording them...

Need to be able to set a 1000rpm rev limiter valet mode ;)

There reply...."Certainly Sir"

also off topic,i took boss's F100 with big wheels down to Bendigo tyre place several years ago and had brakes renewed, the boss and I picked up effy and driving over to Echuca along the Murray valley hiway when all of a sudden im facing the road out the windscreen with drinks and stuff falling on me as the front end nose dived and the tailgate was 8 feet above my head straight across the oncoming semi and into the farm on other side of hiway with the semi missing us by inches.,the wheel on front left had come off jamming itself into wheel arch and catapulting the F100 across hiway with no warning at all, two of us sitting there in a daze wondering WHAT THE F,turned out all four wheels had finger loose wheel nuts and the left front came off.we went back to tyre place in Bendigo and they made the mistake of telling my boss to get lost, needless to say i cant name the tyre place as someone spent a while in Hospital.my boss was at the time working part time as a bouncer at the Burvale hotel in East Burwood.when we weren't restumping houses.if we had been killed by the truck no one would have ever known the real cause of accident.just think this tyre place on the hill specialises in heavy machinery and trucks also.
