Quen of The Damned was crud. Read the books, and forget watching it.
Watched 'Saw' the other week and killed my self laughing at all the 'scary bits'.

Favourite movies would be;
Sleepers
Scent of a Woman
Godfather Trilogy
Schindler's List
Blow
and nearly anything else with Al Pacino.

Yes but Battlefield Earth was meant to be based on the book of the same title. Having never read it I can't really tell the vibe of it.

Battlefield Earth was written by L. Ron Hubbard, founder of the Cult (sorry, "Church") of Scientology.
I have the misfortune of knowing almost the entire Sydney "org" through us having done some charter work for them (then having to threaten legal action to get the money they owed us), and they are some weird citizens.

It's therefore of no surprise to me that the movie (and all the other books he wrote, are complete and utter crud)
The guy got kicked out of nearly every country in the world for trying to start a cult, and ended up living on a ship in international waters.

Ah, can't believe I forgot to list this poor excuse of a film on my list. IMO, this movie is solely responsible for the idiocy and utter monstrosities we see on our roads today!! Damn you F&F!

i cant stand patriotic american movies... you know the ones where people salute the american flag with tears in their eyes! or oh my god, the president is in danger!

also there was an 80's horror movie called "brain damage" which was about this monster (read handpuppet which looked like a sock with paper cut out eyes) who sucked people's brains out through the back of their neck.

absolute shocker

Thank god someone said it. I vowed never to watch the movie, then the trilogy, because it didnt interest me in the slightest (its funny how much that ****es some people off).

Eventually, several years later I watched the first movie...i'll never get those hours back! I cant understand why people eat up this fantasy bullshit.

Most Aussie films are crap - there are exceptions, Mad Max etc.

Quen of The Damned did suck. For the potential that Anne Rice's (?) novels could have had this film was ordinary.

The Dawn of the Dead remake wasn't good. Yes for special effects, but why change the damn plot !?!? More gore in the original too.

Moulin Rouge was sleepworthy.
Dude, where's my car was about an hour too long same as Kung Pow - way too long.
The ending in Collateral was dumb.
Pre-a-porter. The first ever movie in a cinema where I have seen people walk out, including myself.

Thats just a few....

And more :

Tomb Raider movies, not even Angelina Jolies big lips and hoo hoo's(breasts) saved those movies....

The remake of the Avengers. Totally ruined a cult 60's show....

I couldn't agree more, those movies are so god damn boring. And it's near f*cking impossible to get away from the LOTR hype here in NZ thanks to Peter Butthole Jackson filming his 12 hour snoozfests here.

Anything by the TROMA crew but one that really springs to mind is called Fortress of Amerika. So bad you feel guilty for spending more than ten minutes watching it.

Some people like Lada Nivas, some people hate LOTR... sad but true.. and I'd say these two arbitrarily chosen groups are a lot alike... :MrT_anim:

Back to the topic, after seeing it for a third time, the third Matrix movie still sucks ****! :

Independence Day and Godzilla are two of the dumbest movies I've had the misfortune to see. I'm very wary these days, always wait for recommendations before wasting 2 hours of my life.

Check out Dodgeball if you want a laugh. Team America too.

love Troma films. the toxic avenger is one of teh all time greats. but they have done some howlers...Unspeakable is not a pleasant film. copophilia is the most disgusting concept (except for munting...now THAT is filthy).

i gave up on the matrix after the second one and didnt bother with the last one.

I cant agree more, i ****ing hated this movie, M. Night Showerman should be strung up by his toes and beaten with a sack full of doorknobs. :evil_laug ....Ahem...
Anyway, most hated movies (other than the village):-
Windtalkers - If john woo goes near another war story again, ill shoot him myself, and he wont be able to dodge all the rounds i put down on him like his lead character did in the movie..

The Musketeer - Not the one with charlie sheen and co' in it. Think japanese 'fight by wire' scenes crossed with the original musketeers.
