Ford Aust should also be selling about 500+ Transit Customs a month and about 150 larger Transits a month. It will be interesting if they can get better supply when the new Transit Custom is released including the e-Transit Custom and e-Transit. Future class leader for the mid-size van is my prediction.

Monthly sales numbers are influenced too much by international supply and delivery constraints to really matter anymore imo.. end of year numbers at least give a representation overall factoring such things.

Yes, still are.The strange thing with it though, it does absolutely bugger all in the sales charts.Same engine etc..Quite weird.Probably just as capable as Everest etc….

No, not around price, but the vehicle itself. The Fortuner is based on the Hilux, as is the Everest is based on the Ranger. The Prado is a Landcruiser, isn't it?

Yes, the Fortuner is still on the website. Just checked. You had me wondering, as I've only seen two since buying my Everest in May.

If the Prado belongs in the Everest, MUX segment then so does Fortuner.
Its only fair to then add Prado and Fortuner numbers together as Toyota is sharing its sales across 2 vehicles in one segment. How do the numbers look now? |

Toyota were sort of forced to join the party with the Fortuna. However, it was originally designed as a lower cost machine for markets other than Australia. As such, it was/is underdone in comparison to the added effort that went into making the Everest. So much so it elevated Everest to be competing on the same level as the more expensive Prado.
Everest made the Fortuner look like an absolute joke and has now moved above and beyond the ancient Prado. With that rattly and underpowered 2.8 diesel, I see no value in paying the price Toyota asks for the Prado.
