I knew a guy who had an older Jaguar XJ that was fully restored. He got two of the kids high jump bendy bars. (basically a long elastic strap wrapped in foam with a hook at each end).

Once he parked he hooked them to each side wheel arch to wheel arch. Seemed to work well.

I always park at the back of a carpark, even in my daily.
