Irony will be when the dunnies are pouring fresh crap into the cool room, some bloke has his face hanging off from a glassing and the beer lines have run dry.
Out front, a tattooed Plumber, Ambo and Brewery Driver will be sitting on the back of the truck downing tinnies in the sun, waiting for a change of heart. |

Fully understand where this guy is coming from . Not all but so many tatooed heroes are just a bunch of total wayne kers so tied up with their I'm tough image , Boys pretending to be Men . And before anyone whinges and whines yes I have tatoos myself .
P.S. If they have Tatoos and a Harley that is a double ban in my book . P.P.S. With Tatoos a Harley and Shaved Head it goes triple .

There are just playing the numbers. The assumption being: Bad people are more likely to have tattoos: bad people are over represented in the set of people with large visible tattoos - when compared to the complete set of people that use pubs. Insurance companies do it all the time, with age, medical history, employment etc. The question is not about the having or not having of a tatoo, it is more "should Bars play statistics like insurance companies do ?" It would be interesting to ban all people who work "on the docks", or engineering students, or had a relative that had served time (to play a few potentially equally valid stereotypes). |

I can see where they are coming from. The only time someone has tried to pick a fight with me in an establishment, they had toothpick arms covered in tatoos.

An old client of mine was Lynch's Restaurant in Melbourne
I remember the outrage he caused with his no pram / baby policy! Nothing new here. |

I'll be eating there if they have that policy still...can't stand new age parents with their little bratty spoilt princesses running around and the numb nut parents defending their kiddies sensitivities when asked to not annoy me and bump into my chair etc. A young Broadie mum with tattoos dining next to me? No thanks.. edit: have to laught at googling Lynch's.... "Malaysians have gone squeamish about the reasons their national airline has just banned kids in first class. The official excuse is that it had ''revamped first class seats with an electrically operated ottoman'' and that this meant ''there was no facility for positioning a bassinet''. Nice try, but any civilised human being knows a squealing kid on a flight is a pain in the backside. And if you have just paid many thousands for the experience even the complimentary horses' doovers aren't going to salve the wound. Surely that's why Malaysian Airlines really banned them and not before time.
Down on ground level 17 years ago Melbourne restaurateur Paul Lynch outraged the shrill maternal lobby by banning babies at his South Yarra restaurant, Lynch's. He showed the door to a couple with a five-week-old kid and the case went all the way to the Anti-Discrimination Board, for god's sake, where Lynch was rapped over the knuckles. Didn't stop him. Lynch put up anti-baby notices like no-smoking signs, and created a small culinary oasis where you could escape from the everyday world of unsmackable brats and pint-sized whingers. He won a lot of fans." |

I wouldn't be allowed in then...
Too bad for them, they would lose out on my hard earned, and there's nothing worse than negative publicity. ... Or a bad word from one person, spreads much, much faster than a good word.

How true that is. Hope the restaurant owner goes bust for his narrow mindness.
