Your riite there Russ. But any one with the second purchase of clothing (like my self) who has washed it will find most of it has worn off anyways as for the .au bit how often do you read a full web addy of clothing and not go with both .com and .au if it wont work, I think if people really want AU.COM back at this point start a poll and we will put it to the vote or just leave it to a later date BUT I for one will not pay again unless it is a air tight guarantee that it is ours for good and it is handed over to AFF for domain owner ship and renewal

i reckon owning the original .com merch is a bonus. move it to .au, and stick it to them. greedy ******.

roll out .au merch in the future. Personally, id feel 'old school cool' if in 5 years when everyones rocking the .au merch at meets, u can whip out the 'original .com' gear. instant respect..

FWIW, i dont think anyone would have too much trouble finding the website after seeing you wear .com, and second of all, i doubt most people find the website from your merch in the first place.

but im just a newcomer with no merch, so my thoughts will hold less value.

I added a field onto the join form quite a while ago asking how they find us and see that most newbies to the club are coming from Google and the forum, or word of mouth. About 90% are Google, so advertising isn't a problem.

I'm also new here and not planning to go anywhere anytime soon. Isn't it possible to go with the .com.au for now and when they have lost interest in the site, just purchase it and join the two websites so they become one (so no matter which one you type in the address bar, it will direct you to the same website). That way everyone will be happy and you won't need to give in to them domain holders

Also, I'm really looking forward to some AU Falcon merchandise

Regards

Did this ever get anywhere? Or was the decision made to just stick with the .com.au domain?

Surprised all the people with .com merch havn't asked to chip in a few bucks each to get the domain back..Cheaper then new jackets etc

Pretty sure it's been left as is, the thing is even if we chip in money we don't get the domain back per se, we're just renting it from the ****holes that snapped it up when the domain expired.

Fair enough.. Mods may want to rename this "aufalcon.com" section if that is the case....

and if we get the stuff done again, we could at least get a better supplier/printer...

the inks and quality of the print was pretty poor... (i use to work as a screenprinter) and whoever sent the graphics on used ones that were tiny res. at least supply em with some proper 300dpi stuff so we can get some nice sharp prints and look top shelf. cause AU = GOLD.

would be happy to help the cause. just like last time... afterall, i penned the layout/'design' originally!!!
