That's a pretty decent photo. It's also showing 2 of the moons of Jupiter on the right.

yeh saw the frowning pics on the news sites this morning haha

how long were you looking at the pic for rod to notice the moons??

Instantly. They're very noticeable in that pic but then I've seen the moons of Jupiter through my telescope more than once. ;)

The one up the top would be Io and the one at the bottom would either be Callisto, Europa or probably both.

i was outside tonight about 7 o`clock qld time and could see the 2 planets and the moon. this time the eyes were underneth the moon, but shining very brightly. it wasnt quite dark and no other stars out yet.
