oh yeah bring this on i,ve had to pre-order the ltd version for my ps3 come with some great stuff but i think vice city was the best

It has taken you until today to realise that GTA IV is coming?

I've been chasing this for a while as I am a fan of GTA all the way...but only on PC.

I still play San Andreas a lot just to mod cars and hoon about.

Also, for fans of post-apocalyptic civilsation, Fallout III is also coming. Black Isle has gone broke though so Bethesda (the same company that made the Elder Scrolls series) is making it, using the Oblivion engine.

GTA London damn well RULED. Loved how it changed it to "You're Nicked" for "Busted".

Would love to see one of the new GTA style games set in London. I also think its the only GTA to use a REAL city, while the others are all just based on real cities with names changed etc.

A couple of mates are totally into Fallout series, I managed to get them all but haven't even tried them yet due to not having the time, although they keep hammering me to install them!

Well scarface was kind of cool and that used Miami, sort off. So did Driver and the two Getaway games.

I did, someone on this forum asked me to and post a screenshot! It replaces the Clover from memory. Too bad they didnt make any XY's.

Well, you can actually replace any car with it (at least you always could in III and VC) just change the name of the files to match the car you want. This also means you can replace a car with a V8 (like a sabre) and get a more authentic sound. (I think there is also a way to change the engine sound itself, but I don't know how)

It was even better on VC though as there was a XB Interceptor and a Police Special as well. Hav'nt seen them for SA yet, bummer.

Yeah on the XY, I guess the people that made the mods were yanks, so they picked the XB (IMO looks better) over the XY.

There was also a HSV Coupe, but it didn't look nearly as well finished as the Fords. And I still try to keep modded cars time specific (I don't put cars in the game that have not been made as of that time)

But even the cars packaged in the game have gotten better.
I think as the games start heading forward in time again (VC>SA) we are starting to see more cars that we can recongnise. VC was just about all Yank cars. SA has more of cars we know: WRX, CRX, NSX, F40, GT40, GTI, GTR, 300ZX, Pulsar, and like that

I wasn't disputing that fact - Im well aware of the Original GTA's - My point also had no bearing on graphics...I have seen SA on PC and it was better 10 fold.
I spend alot of time Mixing Music on my PC - i like to get comfy on a sofa with games lol

Yep. I got them! Shame they're not doing it with GTA London though. Also GTA 1 does not run well on my computer. I got the old dos-based version and ran it in dosbox. It still ran like crap. I then got the new version which was supposedly modified by Rockstar to run on newer computers. It still runs like crap!

I've got every PC GTA game except GTA London. They are such fun games, but I like Vice City the best.

I've been a junky for this game since the first version. Who would have imagined that running down half a dozen or so Hari Krishnas in a row could be so satisfying.

I saw the previews for GTA IV in a console mag last month, and I must say it looks horn. None of this console garbage though....I'll wait for it to come to PC.

Halo I don't care for at all, not my type of game.

I have been tempted to get a 360 because of Forza 2, but I don't want to miss out on Gran Turismo 5 when it comes out on PS3. I reckon I will just keep waiting and watching the prices drop for both consoles then make a decision.

You'll be waiting along time mate. I don't think it's going to be on PC. I'm a big GTA fan, and have always bought them, as soon they come out, but I don't have the money for a PS3 or 360. Damn I hope it does come out on computer eventually.

If there's no PC version, they'll loose a large share of market sales worldwide, as many people can't justify buying a $500-1000 console which becomes outdated in a year or two and can not be upgraded, unlike PC's. And as it has been said the graphics performance of a console is never better than on a computer.

It makes no sense to deny the PC version and loose all that income.
