Default New XR8 Ute Ad

Best Ford Ad I've seen.

Lets see if they can ban this one :

That's great, the Falcon ute ads are always Fords best but maybe I think that cause I'm in there target demographic.

Its a great ad. I have to agree with MRJUCY, the ute ads are the best. They always add the great sound of the engine winding up at the end too...yum.

Nah, its about time they had a funny and memorable ad, most of the other 'good' ones have been very easy to forget moments later. This is brill.

And I want that f**cking 280" plasma.

Fuggen great. Now all they need to do is show them on tv.

My other favourite Ford ad was the one played on the radio, when one guy introduces John (perhaps some other name) to another bloke, no attention is payed, until the first guy says "He's a Ford dealer......mmmmmmaaaaaaaaaattttttttttteeeeee why didn't you say so, mate".

Bloody pearler than always made me laugh.

That is the one of the best ford ad's I've seen. I saw it when they cut to a break during the origin series when jason ?#@$ got KO'ed in the first 2 mins of play. I absolutley cracked up. Luv those guys in the arm chairs.

Cheers

Pretty good ad!, A whole new approach compared to there usual catchy phrases and the sing along nursery rhymes that would play in the background.

Nonetheless goodstuff ford and the ending where the xr8 takes off was simply orgasmic!

About time they come up with something good. Where do you get those BFT ( big f----ng television ) 280 inch plasma screens from? And why doesn’t Mr Frothy drive past my place?

What a corker. Because it's so stereotypical, it's gonna stay in your mind. The exhaust note at the end is superb.

That's just gold. Bloody awesome ad, I agree that the Metrosexual targeting is a brilliant way to bring blokiness into the 21 century.

One great thing is it got pretty good coverage during the Origin tonight. Must've been played 3 or 4 times, and definitely to an audience that would appreciate it, or some aspects of it.

Pity they played the 30sec version that didn't have the Targeting: Metrosexuals bit.

Found it ironic that the two guys holding hands in the ute snickered at the metrosexual sign, then their ultimate daydream consisted of watching blokes dancing around chasing beer trucks and then men having a beer shower at the end.

No chicks, no care. :

One of the best ad's from ford ever, of the comedy styled ones anyway. (still believe the origonal BA ad "cant get enough of this" would have to be equal best with this one overall)

they cant show 'speed' in tv commercial's now because the do godders kicked up a stink about it and people like harold scruby dont help either.

On another note brilliant ad love it. the only good think Ford marketing is good at is marketing the utes.
i.e. must be stuck in 3rd (AU XR8)
lets take 'em for a run on the salt pans (BA Xr8)

I was working a long shift yesterday so fell asleep during origin and didn't get to see the ad :togo:

Does it showcase the sound of the V8 like on the link?

Ford may not be able to advertise speed and burnouts but they should be to showcase the beutiful sound the V8 makes.

I have to say Ford ads are pretty pathetic (apart from this one and the XY morphing into a BA GT) they should have rock and roll and showcasing Fords rich history and if not that they should be getting the people who make all the beer ads. The ute ads always are pretty good and this should be reflected across the range.
