Hang on they were hiding? (this isn't a cop-bashing post)

Wouldn't a visual deterrent be better? You & VU owner would've seen the fuzz then, neither of you would've raced (although you would've both been wanting to! : ) and neither of you would be losing your licences.

I agree. Amazing how things change. Not doing the rest of us any favors.

Don't know why you're sorry. I can't believe people still do this, when loss of car and license is KNOWN - no ifs or buts about it, you will lose both for some period of time.

Good point. I am not sorry just empathetic. It's a shame that it has to come to having your "pride and Joy" taken from you just to teach a lesson.

Dob in a hoon still stands?
Did anyone witness this?

Pretty sure they did. Pretty sure a tow truck and the word impound is a proverbial thrown book.

Yes i do agree to an extent... don't you guys think your being a little harsh? He is already paying the price for this by losing the car and possibly his license. Cmon we all do this, its just that some of us do it in the wrong place at the wrong time. Its not that some of us do it and some don't its just that some get caught and others don't.

well i dont think it is a bit harsh by any streatch of the word

ill fill you in on somthing that happened to me the other day

i was in melb for dinner with family and my car details were given to the local police using this photo for evidance with a bit of editing

it had houses from a local corner in the background

the thing the person got wrong was the fact that i was in melb for with a certain family member ( just so happens to be a police officer )

now the fun starts

i had 2 police cars turn up at my place on the monday night with a flat top not to far behind

i was lucky i had the best aliby for this so it def wasnt me

the police are investigating it from the monday night

all i know is that the person rang from a mobile and said they were from the e-series owners club

for this reason the person will be found and will be dealt with

IF A MOD WANTS TO REMOVE THIS PLEASE DO AND THEN CONTACT ME ON MSN

jason

I dont want to inflame the situation anymore, but do you have a copy of the pic? I want to see how dodgey it was.

For someone to go to someone elses area, take pics, then PS it is disgraceful.

Also, how can someone dob another in without evidence? Obviously anyone can mock up a pic (well actually I cant, I suck at PS, but there are some nerdy/talented people), surely if they say they "took" the pic, they would need to show it on their camera.

Or could you make a PS, then transfer it back to a digi to make it look like you took it? Unless the digi gives the pic some kind of signature.

This sort of thing will be more common as the Police crack down, how about you E series boys showing some support in the South East drag thread ?
Doing it legal is more fun.

True but times have changed. If these rules were around when I got my P's then it would have been hard to stick to the rules, but for some our licenses are damn important, and not worth risking on some traffic light grand prix's.

But yeah, lesson learnt, just the hard way.

And Heljas, I can understand your anger, but keep cool and things will be sorted, dont aggravate the situation.

I think that might stuff up the EXIF data (basically information about the picture that is recorded alongside it). I'm not too sure, hopefully we have a photography expert around here somewhere.

geeez you copped it hard mate, i hope you dont loose your license... how fast over the limit where you going when you got stung? or was it just an up to the speedlimit drag?

i'm not a fan of these new hoon laws at all, my mate had a brass botton clutch n got done at the lights because the wheels chirped off the line. the car is 100% legal (which is amazing) he had an engineers cert to proove it!

I have said this previously about your posts, the forums are not a sms message board, take the time to write out your posts otherwise they will just be deleted in future.

I wont hold my breath that this has in anyway changed your driving style, it will take allot more, and in saying that I would hate to think what "that" would be.
