If Queensland wins the 1st match, they'll take the series 2-1. Otherwise, if Queensland doesn't capitalise in the first match, they won't have the advantage of so many blues being out through injury again, and the blues will go on to take out the 3rd, giving them the series. QLDer through and through, but I think the Blues will still take it.

Finch in as halfback. NSW are going to get their a*se handed to them now. Your argument of our back being useless without a decent forward pack now is countered by NSW forward packs hard work being undone as you have a shocking halves combination. I mean, come on, Finch? Why not Orford, who is actually in form?

Your Australian and know nothing of pies lol

I'll back the maroons same colour as my car lol No seriously they been training for this a little longer and the blues have some injure scares that will test them up to kick off.
And the maroons have more storm players so thats my decision. But it's hard cause there are storm players in the blues lineup also Draw be nice:P

As long as you support the Maroons, I dont care if you are an AFL supporter, we can all be friends! :voldar02: Just got back from town, got myself a scarf and cape to go with my maroons jersey, gonna hit the town hard tonight, here's to a Maroons victory : . And lets hope I can drag myself into uni tomorrow morning!

I can see the maroons winning this series. Or atleast the first game. I dont think Finch is good enough for nsw half and with buderus in doubt and johns pulling out, it will not be the same team as they are used to playing in.

Maroons to win.

i agree, finch is no gower or johns.
i think this is where NSW will lose out.

plus braith anasta is useless.

look at QLD's halves with lockyer and thurston, its a major advantage over NSW

My mum and i have always had a soft spot for the maroons, Some of my first memories were Mel maniga and Benny allies? Cant spell his name, Even though he played for the blues i never seen that bloke without blood on his face
And Mel was just a bulldozer with a V30 engine:P.
And when available billy the kid is amazing to watch in maroon colours I see Minachallo face still which way did he go which way did he go:P. :party3: :

4th choice halfback! Need i say anymore, Anasta was only good last year coz he was playing outside Johns. Now he has to play with Finch, watch the real Anasta come to the fore, he will be shocking. Where as QLD on the other hand, have 2 of the best halves in the competition.

make that 5th. Barret would have been selected to play half again if he didnt quit rep football. They have selected him in this position many times although he is a 5/8.
so thats behind
1 Johns
2 Gower
3 Orford
4 Barret
5 Finch
anyhow, hope the blues will win.

Shame there weren't more Knights in the NSW Squad...then we may have seen an even better score, and a more entertaining game if anything...Johns is an awesome play maker, and works very well with his own team mates like Danny Budierus and Timana Tahu and Ben Kennedy (ex knights)..

Ok, Im not going to make any excuses. Im going to go down a different path and bring up the point of, What is happening to Origin? Its not the same football it was say 10, even 5 years ago. I mean, one NSW player took a swing at a Queenslander, and all the Queenslanders who ran in were trying to break it up. I mean, come on, this is Origin, where is the pride in your jersey and fellow Queenslanders? If I was on the field, I would have tried to knock the other guys block off, I had pride in my school jersey to do the same thing. And dont give me the crap that they are scared of suspension for their club duties, Origin should be under a different set of rules, you should only be worried about suspension if you have done something incredibly stupid. Im starting to get tired of Origin football turning into just another game. (Im also tired of QLD losing _2: )
