^Exactly, that is spot on. Something like this can snowball very easily and in the end we suffer for it, not the corporations.

Bit of a beat up really.... Just because it doesnt have a bun.

Original double down - 1939kj - 22.3g fat
Zinger Double down - 2515kj - 35.7g fat

Double quater punder - 3560kj
Grand crispy chicken - 2510kj

Double Whopper - 5085kj - 80.5g fat

Where was the hurrah when HJ's and McD's started offering 'double' burgers?

Do Maccas or HJ's replace the bun with meat? Thats why this is a hurrah

Like I said, it's a beat up really. There is stuff already available that is far worse than this. It's only because this has no bun that people automatically think it's the devil.

Add a bun to it, and a few hundred more kj's and some more fat. Is it more attractive now?

Depends, are those two pieces of chicken replaced by the bun or inside the bun? very important.

Waht difference is it missing the bun. The bun is rolled bread anyways. Next we'll hear too much bread is bad for you.

The world has gone stupid, with this "health" garbage

Anyone remember quad stackers? Me and some friends had quad stacker wars once. Basically, once we'd all had a few drinks, it was off to hungry jacks with about $100 and we would all order one, consume, then those game would order another, and if they thought they could handle another, then they'd do it, and so on. My best ever was four. We have been waiting for a suitable replacement, it looks like we have found it. I'm a bit of a junk food junkie, bad I know but that's just me.

Wouldn't the feeling of that greasy fake food moving down your intestines put you off?

This pwns a double down

http://www.youtube.com/user/EpicMeal...19/gpKtarjTvqU
I present to you Epic Meal Time. Common ingredients are bacon (you can never have too much bacon is their motto), Jack Daniels and more meat.

If I want something like a double down, I can get it at KFC, I can go to the supermarket and get pre-prepared chicken ready to bake and make something similar - or worse. I can go for 2 regular burgers or a double down. I can go to other chicken places and buy 2 servings of chicken and chips. I can take it home, put it on a bread roll smothered in butter and salt.
By getting KFC or any other fast food place to remove these sort of menu items removes one available option - many still remain. It is up to the individual to moderate consumption. Most people who get a double down will probably just get 1 to try it. Its not like it will be a daily purchase.

That's basically what i did today, I have to say i'm not a fan if this "burger" after having tried one. In my opinion it's just not that great and shouldn't even be classed as a burger. Having tried one i can safely say my $7.95 is better spent elsewhere.

Still all these people whinging need to worry more about what they're doing in their lives than what everyone else is doing. I think we're all capable of making our own decisions in life, whether they're wrong or right i still like to have the ability to make that decision for myself.

Spot on.

If someone wants to eat an unhealthy burger and risk putting on weight, its no ones fault but their own.

I love to eat unhealthy food sometimes.
But I also know how to eat healthy food and exercise. So who has the right to tell me I cannot eat Fatty burgers when I want to.

So is milk, if you listen to some "experts". (Not insinuating you're one). It seems every week, you read one thing is good for you and the next the same thing is bad.

As for being my problem when I'm fat. Mate, I'd gladly have that problem. I'm 6 foot tall and lucky to weight 90 Kg's ringing wet. So I guess i'd better tuck into this fatty KFC food more often. Might put some weight on

i love how the media cries foul (fowl ?) over this kind of thing being on the menu but the insane things you can order are limitless if you know that all you have to do is ask.

go ahead and ask for a Pounder at maccas.
if they look at you funny its just a quarter pounder with 4 patties and 5 slices of cheese.

youve been able to get that for years.. way before a double QP was put on the menu.. and long before the outrage of the equivalent HJ's burger was trialed.

guys i went to uni with have ordered a double pounder and ive heard tell of a double and a half

sure, it probably has enough fat to kill a walrus but noone cares because it isnt on the menu... but they will still sell it to you.

Mrs. already said to me no.

I then proceeded to tell her that it has less fat and kilojoules than 75% of McDonalds and Hungry Jacks menus.

Still no.

Dammit.

Guranteed if this thing had a bun around it we would never know it existed till we went to KFC. Infact it is healthier without the bun lol. The media are just idiots, I used to order a bacon cheese zinger and then get an extra zinger fillet put in long before this was thought of.

As I said earlier in the thread, I have had one of these and to be honest it needs a bun. I am not a fan of my fingers dripping in grease. I am fat and have no one else to blame but myself these days (after a heart op when I was a kid I gained 30kg in 1 yr and was still excercising and eating healthy meals), but I love everything bad for me. I am trying very hard to eat well for the sake of my health and once everything is better I will be swimming 3 times a week to try and get healthy. However things like this will still be in my diet, not as much as it used to be. Some of us like to boast and feel better than others because we don't eat junk food, the rest of us don't give a rats if you don't like it, but don't tell us we are bad for doing so (this is more at the media and so called "experts")
