I don’t know if this one’s already on the thread but here it is anyway.

This is one hell of a story that’s well worth the time to read!

Talk about a working GT . . . Enjoy guys.

It was on ebay of all things, I wasnt even looking for a 105 really, wanted one but the price factor was stopping me. But this one popped up at a good price so I went for a look and brought it on the spot. The guy needed to leave for the UK the next day and was cleaning out his storage..poor guy had been paying $1200pa to have the shed...

Its not the rate which was an issue, its the amount he sold the car for that wouldnt have covered the storage fees..hehe..but if you have no choice what can ya do.

I hate you.

That VJ Ranger looks the goods too! Now I notice it's "VK"...that'd an odd one...I always thought it just went "VH" then VJ"...didn't actually know there was a "VK". You learn something new every day...
If I hadn't just bought the WB ute, that thing would be getting some serious bids from my way...

My two latest barn finds, both in the same shed buried under a ton of rubbish. Been sitting quietly for near on 20 years waiting for me. Had them both out of the shed and running that day.

Close, it's actually an F3. Basically the same thing, just different load ratings.

Nice old trucks...brush the cobwebs out, get the brakes and suspension rubbers legal, and drive it like it is...
Love the "hand" indicator on the white one...haven't seen one of them for decades!

I remember the stories about that "ourback GT"...let's hope it doesn't get restored and is left as found. It's got too much history to destroy, and I bet with the right display it would draw crowds like buggery at shows. I remember a British old car mag saying it was vitally important that at least some old car owners don't restore thier cars, but leave them 100% original, so that future generations can see what they were like from the factory, warts and all, even if they are tired now. Things like the original exhaust hangers (how many of them would have been replaced over the years?) and other bits and pieces.

I dont know the full extent yet...but no weird noises, 2nd syncro is buggered but it slots in with care. So rebuild the gearbox, a little body work and some paint and thats the worst of it.

I was iffy about saying but since its a keeper it doesnt matter...$4k..so even if I spend $10k on it, which I probably will over time, its still the asking price of some rough ones on carsales at the moment.

I was thinking of doing a build thread but the only Ford thing about it is the colour.

Absolute bargain! Owner must've been desperate to sell at that price. Put up a build thread, I'd be keen to follow progress on this.

Story goes he was flying out the next day to the UK after a week back clearing out his stuff. He wanted a bit more but I put my bid in and stayed with it, he called me and that was that.

Ill pop some more pics on the "show us your non ford" thread
