While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

That'll be fine Simon...I can just sit at the bar having a counter lunch and a beer, "all at genuine 1972 prices" ...maybe I'll even get to bowl a "flipper" ...then I could finish it all off with a sandwich from the "wheel of cheese"

For those reading this saga - he'll fill the 'swear jar' whilst ensconced there in the Parkes Bowl Club.

Nice to see you post up in here...please note however that not all of us participated in "driving these cars on the dirt" like some did. Some of us were quiet happy to stand, watch and applaud at others having some clean (albeit dusty) fun. We also had a small cruise and trip out to McFeeters Motor Museum as well as loads of laughs at the nightly dinners... so the BSeries Nationals caters for a bit of fun right across the range. I hope you can make it next year.

Great to see the Parkes "red work" tradition keeps going. This "event" needs to have a prize awarded.
As long as nothing gets broken and nobody gets hurt then its all good.

Spent about 8 hours cleaning my car on Saturday. I put it up on a hoist and pressure cleaned underneath with hot soapy water. I couldn't believe how much dust came out.
I then cleaned behind the tail lights and moved onto the engine bay. It wasn't that bad cause I wasn't out there long and didn't drive into the flicked up dust.

So hopefully it's all gone now

It was a brilliant weekend. Thanks heaps for organising it Meg. We'll be back next year for sure
