You still up? Are you excited? I would be. Better than slaving over a hot laptop for 6 hours on an assignment due tomorrow.
Pics tonight pretty please.

Picked mine up last night at 5:30pm. Was a little worried, since I hadn't even test driven one, but 5mins in and my mind was put to ease. It's actually got more down low poke then I thought it would. Looks great in the white with blue stripes, and the alloys give it a nice stance. Tint, lowering, and side stripes are the only visual mods I wanna do.
Ride is firm but not jarring, and from what I can tell, handling is very good (haven't been in any twisties yet, Donna Buang on Monday!) Fuel economy is great, considering I got it with 20km on the clock, it's averaging 7.6l per 100km's. I'm expecting that to drop further once it's run in. Overall, after 150km's, I'm very happy so far :p BTW, I paid $25250 on road (but I get Ford discount through work) |

Sounds like you got a good price too, I was quoted $25500 driveaway the other day - no discount, but that price was for cash, no trade........if I wanted to trade in the Zetec then obviously the change over figure probably wouldn't come out in my favor, they were talking only 13k - 15k trade for the Zetec, quite a loss seeing as I paid $21750 only a year ago for it, lots to think about but I am pretty tempted by the XR4. |

Very very nice. Your old car still looks damn fine.
How often do you swap your rims? Are you going to try the grey ones on the XR4? The blue dash is... interesting? Another set of Eibachs on the way? I THINK I'M DRIBBLING.

I recently swaped the ST rims cos I had them fixed and painted. The orange fez needs a wash its dirty as.
Eibach's no I'm looking at a set of coilovers If you cant spot the new mod its not the floor maths either. I swaped the shift boot over with the leather one I got from the uk. |

Took one for a test drive today. That engine should be standard on all fiesta's : . Handling was similar to Zetec but it went faster & the front seats are excellent.
Cheers.

Great looking cars guys! I checked them out today (crap weather, but I had a day off : ). I would gladly say that I'd rather an XR4 over ANY small hot hatch on offer now (so, over the Swift Sport, Polo GTI or Colt Turbo)
I'm really quite impressed. Can't help but think my email to Ford Aust in 2005 helped get the XR4 across the line LOL Pics;

But yea, great looking car. Loved the black, but for some reason I'd hate keeping it clean. I'd go White, Sea Grey and then Performance Blue - In that order.

The quoted 0-100km/h time for the XR4 is 9.6 sec.......it this right?
Does anyone know the 0-100km/h time for the Zetec? I thought it was around 11 seconds? |

Whoever quoting that must be puffing the magic dragon. The XR4's 0-100km/h time should be around 8.5 - 8 sec. Fiesta LX/Zetec/Ghia's 0-100km/h time would be around 11.5-11.0secs. Car magazines did 10.5secs before (and apparently they're well known of getting crappy straight line times with cars). This is what Ford UK claims :- http://www2.fordconnection.com/fordc...yyrfuelspc.htm |

Cant remember where I read it but they were quoting the ST/XR4 at about the 9.6 mark.........I thought it sounded a bit slower than I would have expected, maybe they got themselves confused with the Zetec S which according to that link you so kindly provided could well be the case as it does the 100 in about that time. Thanks mate, good work. |

Hard choice between the Blue and white stripes or the Black with white stripes. Either way, they both look good

FIRST MOD: Leather gaiter on gearshift. Looks good. Need the leather gearknob now!
Congrats. It'll loosen up a bit better by around 2,000km or so. Absolute honey of a thing to drive.
