Just couldn't tell if the post was serious and wanted to clarify, so that every old lady in Busselton doesn't get tackled to the ground by obsessive HO-nuts wanting to mow their lawns and get a glimpse at the shed ......

There is no phase 5 coupe and never was, though funny scones do exist apparently.

Though I did once see an XA coupe with (old man rave begins here)

There was no Phase 5 Coupe....but !
I did read once (might have been AMC magazine ) that If the Phase 4 wasnt canned and things continued on , the Phase 5 was going to be a Coupe.

There's yard full of old Rovers up near Greta along the New England Highway and another Rover on it's ownsome behind an abandoned house near Dungog. I passed a recycling truck a a few weeks ago with a HZ Holden ute with LE Monaro rims still on it.
Near Cardiff theres a house with a couple of P76's in the front yard.
For those into heavy vehicles, there is what appears to be a 'B' model Mack or similar along the old highway near the eastern town enterance to Maitland.

My mother used to own an original 1973 VJ 770 series Valiant Charger:

Apologies for the picture, it's the only one mum has of the car unfortunately.

It was a 6cyl worked Hemi 265 with original dragways etc. Well, after mum had major back surgery she moved down to where we are now and couldn't take the car with her, so the car sat at her fathers place and because he didn't care for the car, he let it sit in his paddock rusting away. After many years of fights between them of wanting to get rid of it, her father rang up one day and said "a guy is here, he'll give you $500 for it, I'm doing the deal whether you like it or not, expect a cheque in the mail"
So not a barn find for us, but whoever that was I hope they are restoring the car to it's former glory.

Country wreckers are GOLDMINES for bits and pieces...

I once found a wrecked xb gt coupe at a wreckers somewhere between Ballarat and Maryborough... (up on a hill, can't think of the actual name)...

Had heaps of cars there, fairlanes, falcons, fairmonts, but there was a purpleish coupe (pretty sure it was the mulberry colour) with heaps of bits and pieces on it...

Basically said for $100 cash I can take what I want...

I thought he would have known better.... ??

The brother of a mate bought an E49 Charger brand new back in the early 70's .....unfortunately he passed away and my mate inherited it.
My mate took it to his workshop and stripped it, nearly 15 years ago....
Its been lying down the back in pieces ever since and despite all sorts of offers, it's still out the back covered in crap and rusting away.
I even offered him 50 grand for it as is and no joy??
His brother doted on it and would turn in his grave if he saw it now.....
Makes me sick just thinking about it.....what a waste.
Whenever i see those ads with Russell Ingall about car cruelty.....I think of this guy.

Here's one to make you cry!
I found this car three years ago after speaking to the locals in a country town here in Vic.
It is a FULLY optioned XB GS Fairmont. Naturally i made enquiries as to the possible sale of the vehicle but alas it belong to his son who is "gonna" restore it one day.
Last time i went past it was still in restorable condition.
I keep in touch with the father in the hope the son changes his mind.

PINKBITS - That truly is a great find! though you will need to excuse my ignorance but is that a GS coupe or a GT 351 coupe?

GS. Missed out being a GT by a '6'
It has had the decals added at some stage, although to look at it you would mistake it for the real deal. I do have pics of the tags & vin but best to keep them private.

There's some places I know where classic cars are mistreated. So I got some photos.

I don't know how long this Monaro has been in this position for, but I first discovered it there many months ago.

I was passing by when I took this. It's a Holden Brougham, a very rare car now. I've been going past that location for over 10 years and it has always been there.

Some more from the same bone yard in the Lockyer Valley.

There's also an XK Falcon in a shed there too, unfortunately the grass was too long to see it. Next time when I'm there in winter the Falcon will be visible from the road.

I'd be wary of that coupe Pinkbits, looks like it has had a strong front end hit from here, front end body work and a decent kink in the A/C idler pulley!

Such a shame at how some people just leave cars (or even old trucks) out in the weather to rust away for no good reason and then refuse to sell it!

Can't be any worse than the rusted out shells that people restore.
