I have just calculated mine. It turned out to be 12.48 L/100 km. However that included a fair bit of city driving. And a bit of a work out.
Normally it is around the low 11s.

You get the L and divide it by the kms, then divide it by 100.

Wow, i must be a baaad throttle jockey.
Around town i get 19L/100klms on gas (no stepper motor, just a straight through) and combined city/highway i get 17L/100klms dunno about straight highway. I don't quite flog the crap out of it, but i certainly don't drive with economy in mind. Stuff economy. If i wanted economy i'd have stuck with the Toyota Corolla's. But hey, i still do $9/100klms anyway. Who cares how you drive or what economy you have, it's gas!

Dumb question, but I'm new to AU's. I see reference to i6 engines. Is this justa standard engine, or some special model?

AU Sieries 1 Fairmont - According To trip metre between 12 to 15 L/100km, Average of about 13.8l/100km. I do allot of In town driving, starting & stopping (Real Estate Agent) also do a bit of highway to and from work, but i do have a heavy foot & drive the thing like its stollen.
Should be getting it on gas soon so i will post up in a while what i get from that, as i am currently spending on average $240 p/wk on fuel, and its killing me.

NB: that was NOT at the drags... at the drags a tank would never get close to lasting that long. I'm guessing 20l/100kms is about average for me.. but I enjoy every minute of it.

Had a Series II Futura (75th) = 8.3L per 100km on highway (over 830kms per tank)
Now! T3 TS50 = 9.6-10.5L per 100km on highway (have seen 745kms on trip meter and DTE). Also Pursuit 250 = not sure! Still having to much fun! NASTY! |
