My point was, a 'quick' flash site for $200 is a bit steep. I do it for a job, and i wouldnt charge that much for a really nice one.

yeah big money in websites, ill do one PROFESSIONAL with PHP,asp, html, flash your choice for around the $1k mark otherwise not worth my time, includes space on a server, regular updates and maintainence...so $100ish is alright depending on functionality, purpose, and importantly appearence of the site.

EDIT: in other words a few examples to go with the price would be nice, and also some info about what sort of program you'll use to create these sites

I am looking at getting my website redone but not prepared to spend big money.
(bit of a story behind that)
Would be interested in somebody wanting have a bit of a play around
ie: school project etc. it is not currently being used but we have plans in the near future.
also happy for the person that builds it to have recognition.

did u want to use those backgrounds and pics and that type of 'lightning' for your design?
anyways your css style sheets or tables are buggered because things are all over the place...
might have something a little more fixed up by tonight no promises (gotta work today) oh and this one is on the house if it gets done

Thanks for the offer Falconsr, but the whole site needs to come done.
new company name, phone numbers, and now hitting a much bigger market.
so everything on there is now useless.
It was originally built as a favor and has served its purpose well. just that now our ambitions have grown (and we are about to take on 3 large players in our area).

We are breaking aeay from standard burgular alarms (although we will still be doing them) We are heading to high end access control, CCTV etc.
the problem with burg. alarms is that there is a million guys doing them and undercutting(cant run on no profit margin).

Try to keep away from flash, too long loading time.

Main thing about business websites is you want them to look nice, simple and load quickly.

Get a good designer who knows these things and you'll have a great website

If you optimize it, the flash movie can be 10 seconds long and only 20kb. I dont know where you got that from, considering AFF's logo is 30kb.
