Damn. Makes me want to upgrade the security on my car. My standard EA central locking is far from being a quality security system.

Fantastic news that you got your beast back... and thank goodness it wasn't damaged (burnt out or anything else done)...

You at least can still claim the stereo, rims and tyres can't you on your insurance?? (not sure how that all works to be honest)..

I guess if you can't then it is a shame but look at the positive.. you have your car back in one piece...

Awesome, glad its a pretty happy ending.....

Good result mate, seems they were only after a few specific things, maybe someone that knew wht the car had on it. At least they didn't trash it for you, and left some wheels on it.

The ****ty thing is they obviously had respect for the cars condition, but they shouldn't of nicked it in the first place!

First thing first, upgrade your Alarm and imobliser. Then install a Kill switch and make sure it hidden and out of view and don't tell anyone you have it! The other thing you can do is get a Fuel Cut switch which cut out your fuel line if someone tried to make a getaway in your car!

That depend on which insurance company too! Rim shouldn't be a problem but stereo will be!

Not good. Pity Ford designed a car that carries a spare key in the engine bay...........

Too bad about the wheels and stereo mate, but glad you got it back and it wasnt burned out or stripped to bits.

good to hear you got it back and they didnt mess it up to much, i know how ya feel, my EA fairmont was stolen twice in a month and the second time they threw bricks at it. but seriously get an immobiliser and fuel cut off switch, put in a couple of dummy switches aswell... i did and its still here (unfortunatly).
