Aparently vomit is kinda like vampires, kill the head vampire and all the other people go back to normal, all you gotta do is kill whoever vomited in your car for being such a disrespectful ****** and the smell will magically disappear

Bacteria will be a problem here if its in the carpet, Id just go and get a steam clean for the car, then go nuts with the fabreeze.

If its just on somewhere where it cannot soak much, just go the hot water and detergent, then fabreeze and leave the car in the sun to dry.

Theres a thread in the main forums with someone who had cat urine odour problems

Citroclean is another good product, but I would take seat out and see if you could strip it down to wash it

In the meantime, you could put tea leaves all around the place to soak up the smell. Kinda like an anode. lol.

Had a miserable brother in-law spew in my XR just before it fell over. I got straight to carlovers & steam cleaned. When I got home, I used "nil odour" which got rid of the smell immediately. Took a little while before the bad smell of nil odour left the car though. I might say that nil odour smells better than vomit. Failing that, try bi-carb, it's a good tip. Avoid anything citrus/citric as it will enhance the pungent stench of vomit.

Have you tried Carpet cleaners? Are you in Sydney? The great thing about working in Real Estate - I know an awesome guy that can remove stains and odours with his professional steam cleaning tools. Does a great guy on allllllll our properties (we have a portfolio of about 1,400 properties) and he does a great job everytime! After 16 steam cleans, he removed 4L of paint from Carpet! If that doesn't tell you his good... well yea.

So my advice, would be to try a professional steam cleaner!

PM me if your in Sydney and would like his details...

Steven

Thanks for replying.
I am trying the BiCarb Soda Method.
I have applied BiCard Soda to parts of the seats. I'm gonna leave it over night then vaccum it out. I hope it works.

Thanks for the tips~!

I do think vacuuming would bring up the smell? As it is pushing air from the seat/stain. It would also heat it up too... I think

You might find something in the Themboys sponsor section http://www.fordforums.com.au/forumdisplay.php?f=116 or send DOC a pm he might have a product or solution to help you out

I know "someone" who had a similar accident in a maxi cab the other week, as much as he tried to disguise it the cabbie caught him out and tried to charge $50, his missus had to clean it up while he went to bed...lol

I too STRONLGY recommend "nilodor", it's available in a tiny green glass bottle from any supermarket. The stuff will stop ANYTHING from smelling, really amazing stuff. All it eeds is a few drops on the spot. But literally, a few drops. It smells pretty strong, smell will dissipate over a couple of days, but it'll take the vomit smell away for good.

i had a bit of a technicolor hurl after eating a dodgey health food bar,...... over the dash of a truck on carpet steering wheel in my lap on my arms, projectile style had too keep driving in traffic while going down the monash one day, i had too hand the truck over to my shift partner in a couple of hours, from memory pine okleen was very good kills the bacteria gets rid of the stink at the time i wasnt worried about staining the upholstry or carpet so you might wanna test on a inconspicuose area first,........all smell gone and germs.

Is the vomit on the rear seats?
If so, just remove the seats, hose them off, get a softish brush and a bucket of warm water with clothes washing powder in it. just scrub and scrub. then leave rinse to get all the soap out. then leave in the sun to dry.
