I've got one that runs from just above my elbow up to my shoulder, the whole thing was done in one setting, hurt like a BIARCH too, mine signifies the tribes from my Mum & Dads lineage. Planning on adding to it with designs that represent my kids. Just a bit brassed off with a couple lines where the tattooist stopped and started, other than that, I wear it with much pride.
Good luck for yours mate.

I got both upper arms including a band that wraps around, both inner forearms and 2 on my back, both on the spine. They all hurt but the only one that made me wince was the part of the band that went around the inner bicep. Everyone tells a different story about the pain as everyone deals with it differently. I would suspect that trying to say it feels like such-n-such is pointless but hey, I reckon mine all felt like mild sun burn... I know a guy who pierced his own "old-fella" but fainted when they tattooed his shoulder blade...??? Just be sure you go to a reputable artist and let him know(he should pick up on it anyway) that you're a little apprehensive and he should look after you. Some guy's will even give you a dry run with an inkless needle to give you a little taste before hand.

speakin gof tatts, does anyoen know of a good site to find out what words mean in other languages, however, not plain langues....

like, tibetan, icelandic, balinese, hebrew

something with a little substance, not german, french italian etc etc..

im trying to find the word " mateship " or mate, or good friend, best friend etc etc in something that looks reasonably decent.

cheers borry

I have an arm band tattoo on my upper left arm of the "Lord of the Rings" ring inscription. When i got it done it didnt hurt like i was led to believe until after 2 hours he started filling in the soft skin. That bloody hurt. Will be getting more done when i can get some money together.

Great, in a patriotic kind of way, others opinions don't matter really, in the end you wear it.
$100.00 per hour should be close, could be more or less, depends on if the artist likes you. :Reverend:

Wow what a cool idea.. I would certainly like this, considering I would need to hide them if I manage to land a position within the industry I want...

No, I dont have one and I dont intend to. I think I was put off by all the chics getting them done in the 80s and by all the blokes who had them in the nightclubs that my ex worked in.

Besides, Eamon would shoot me to death 50 times over if I got one... :P

I already have 4 tats.. and want more.. but what I meant by saying I want that .. read the link http://www.tattooartists.org/Gal3975...klight_Ink.asp

I could then get the ones I want, where I want, without worrying about them being seen by the wrong people.
Mind you.. I will probably still get what I want anyway.. will just work out how to make sure no-one sees them unless I want them too :

It SHOULDNT make a difference Kerri, to your work, whether you have tats or not, thats discrimination. But yeah, in the real world that sort of thing seems to count more than someone actual ability to do the job in question. Sad really.
