I have clutch pedal issues
I have a focus 2003 model 5 spd manual 1.8ltr zetec the clutch works fine, but when driving on the highway and not using the clutch say in 5th gear for about 20mins, when I pull off the highway and go to change gears the clutch pedal is very stiff for the 1st and 2nd times I push it down. I have checked the fluid and there is plenty anyone got any idea what may be going on tia |

try bleeding the clutch (Check your brake fluid level first )
pop the air cleaner off and you will see the Clutch bleeder nipple on the top of the gearbox. Easy to do if you use a "1 man bleeder" on it I bleed mine last year and it made my clutch pedal much softer , plus a lot of dirty fluid was released because it remains in the clutch line even of your brakes have been bleed with new fliud the cluth line willl still contain dirty fliud in it until you bleed it out . Clutch and brake use the same resoivour |
