Default CAI for AU1 XR8

Sorry if this has been done before but I couldnt find a thread on it.
Car has K@N filter with lukey 3 inch exh.
Are there any airbox mods worthwhile doing. I know some guys have done an extra pipe or something similar on XR6's.

lots of threads done, check in the Tickford section.Basically EF airbox lid and possibly extra pipe(60-80mm)out of box base into front of car. With yours being an XR you can also get an adapter plate to direct the air from the grill into the intake,SS inductions do one or you could just make your own.

Those G&D airboxes are pure car porn. I would certainly invest in one, but I've got some other subtle intake mods in mind that would make it redundant...

In the meantime, just cut a big nasty hole in the front of your airbox...plenty of cold air behind the front headlight in the AU.

Is cutting a hole in the airbox worthwile? I dunno, certainly makes it sound a bit different
