I have been given some M/H drag slicks they're 26*10's, the problem is they could be up to 10 years old, will they work? should I bother even trying

Past experience tells me that they will be too hard especially in the side walls where they need to give to get optimum traction but give them a try, do a big burnout and launch it....

I agree with Craig. Mine around going onto 5 years old. They aren't optimum but they work. I'll replace mine when I wear my current ones out.

Might be worth getting some tyre conditioner to put on them, or try rubbing Kero into them have been told this can help?

What really eats and softens them up a degreaser. I got it on mine by rolling through a degreaser puddle. Now I have a rubber mark running down the driveway :(

Coke post mix syrup is good for extra grip, although if you stay in the pits for 5 hours and wait for the rest of the cars to deposit their rubber on the track it won't matter what tyres you have
