Default A/C in Manual AU's

does anyone fine their car "harder" to drive with the a/c on when i change gears the revs stay up abit and takes a little while to come down or they come down slowly i do know that the revs rise abit with the a/c on anyone else have this prob

Yep, i've got this problem..well i wouldnt call it a problem, ive just noticed the difference..... revs are slow to fall, its notchy on gears because of it..
its a different car to drive to be honest... atleast now i know its not in my head lol

I've got a manual EL XR6 - the driveline is pretty much identical to the AU XR6 HP. The revs do sit a bit higher, but that's better than having the revs dip too low when you hit the clutch and the car stalls with the A/C on , like my old XE used to do.

yeah mines notchy through gears and it feels like your riding the clutch uyou have to totaly change your driving style

Same thing here, not that i drive with a/c on much.. but when I have I've nearly stalled it when taking off..

Yes, the ECU holds the revs higher due to the extra load of the compressor kicking in. Even the tone of the engine as you put the clutch is different to having the A/C off.

Oh must be a red car symdrome thing lol.

I notice that you can get a meatier sounding idle when you sit with the air con on. Nice way to fake having a hotter cam lol.
