Default 2008 Focus Coupe Cab

Hi Wife has 2008 Focus coupe.2.0l
The other day the thing wouldn't start,it wound over and sounded like it wanted to start.I remembered a problem a friend had with a BA XR6,the throttle body was really dirty and wouldn't start.
I cleaned the throttle body with proper cleaner ,and away it went a bit of smoke but that's all.
Apparently there is a sensor in there and it needs to be kept clean for the motor to run good. Hope this info helps someone out, probably cost a bit to get a mechanic out to diagnose the fault.
