G'day guys,
Got some probs with the interior lights not turning off. My car is a 99 Futura Wagon. The large centre light and 2 rear passenger side lights won't turn off. I popped the fuse in the end to turn them off! The doors are all closing ok, the manual light switch on the dash was off. Any ideas? GK |

Switch in tailgate lock may have come away from lock, check for a loose switch. It's on the side of the lock, it can be seen without removing anything.

The interior lights fade out after about a minute. If that doesn't work, they will go off after 1 hour, even if a door is open.

I know whats wrong..Pull out the side back passengers light assemblies out and their globes.Close the door and the lights will close.Somehow they develop a short there.

I noticed that the switch on one side felt a little sloppy and the globe on the other side was dimmer. I think I'll replace both globes and if that doesn't work, I'll replace both globe assemblies. I'll get back to you again. GK |
