Default Sand Storm

The 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Fairmont Ghia was available in four exterior colours, including 'Sand Storm', which is exclusive to the limited edition model. Meteorite, Monsoon Blue, Sparkling Burgundy are also available.

I have thought of selling mine as have only done under 10,000 kays in it since I bought it over 3 years ago ... but it is such a good thing just cant part with it!

They were certainly rare in v8 guise. I'd be hanging onto that one you have now. Good to see another 75th owner out there.

Thanks mate.

Yeah Ive done a lot of work, but still trying to keep the outside in reasonably original fashion.

I wanted to do setup my car the way it should have been from factory....hehe. In my mind that is.

Your will fetch some good dollars in years to come. A little bit like a John Goss or limited edition of some kind.

Post up pics if you have any

I tried getting the 75th build numbers from Ford Australia some years ago but they didn't know the info. I've seen a 75th Fairlane Ghia in sandstorm and it looked very nice, only one I've ever seen, had a sunroof also.

I actually prefer the std anniversary 17s to be honest

Great car - there is a nice brown one for sale at the moment that has was written off due to hail damage

Looks OK for the dollars he is asking. Got me thinking!

Tidy example there mate. Very nice with either rims really, comes down to personal taste in the end.

Thumbs up

Would have to be one of my favourite AUs.

V8, 75th history and badging (I really like the embossed leather seats), Ghia comforts, Metorite, it has it all mate!

Enjoy!

Thanks for the link. It's great that new owners got a copy of the True Blue book. That's a great book.

One thing I never worked out was how the 75th Fairlane grille was unique. It's the second time I've seen that mentioned somewhere. As far as I could tell, it was exactly the same as the standard one.

I have a AU 75TH anniversary I6 2000 model.
I bought this car new the only thing i done to it was converting it to lpg.

The rear spoiler on it is not the original one as someone run up the back of me and the panel beater could not get an original one.

If anyone as an original rear spoiler for the 75th anniversary let me know.

I am after one 17inch original 75th anniversary rim as one of my rims as cracked.

Any help would be great.
