Default Brake Pads for LW MKII

so, i know that it's a new car, but i have a thing about not trusting OEM brake pads.

i'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of any aftermarket pads.

it's just a thought at this point...

Had a quick search on Google but it didn't yield much result, maybe try asking some of the forum sponsors ie - Bendix, Race Brakes etc....... they might be able to help

Good point.

I had a look and it seems that Brembo have a kit for the car. But that's overkill for a car that's going to be used just on the street.

What do you have against the standard pads?

Nothing in perticular.

Just a precautionary measure.

I saw a post somewhere on Brembo's but at $2,500 for a kit as you say it's a bit over the top unless you plan on doing a lot of track work

no chance for track on this... it's an Auto Ti for the wifey. so no track, no mods (already been told...)

i'm wondering if mods will affect the "active city stop" or "active cruize" thing tho.

Ask our sponsor Race Brakes Sydney or Tuff Car Parts about QFM HP-X pads for the Focus, they're made here in Australia and quite good

I second that.
Have had good experiences with mintex too.
Ebc green stuffs are good for a hot hatch but are a tad noisy for an every day car
