Default Cruise control

Hi I have a 2010 focus and when I use cruise sometimes when hit the resume or set button the car has a huge thud almost as if it jumps down a gear or two and then back to drive . Going back to ford next week to check it again but they say they carnt fault it . Just like to know if any one has had same problem and has it been fixed thanks for any help

Mine will have a small jolt if i take my foot off the accell too soon, but it's a manual so isn't that harsh.

Could be that it is going down a gear for you so it gets up to speed, does it only happen if you're going up from like says 50-80? and doesn't do it when you're at like 75-80?

no it does it when your speed is close to or even at the set speed. It might o do it one time out of 20 times used then it will do it 3 or 4 times in a row

I haven't read the book on what the CC buttons do but this is my understanding atfter tinkering.

Set, sets the speed, the top one (Resume??) turns it off and on. So, just say you have it set at 100, then hit resume, I think it turns it off and you start to slow. If you hit set again, the speed get set at the lower speed you are rolling at, yet if you hit resume, it will bring you back up to the original 100.

Could it be that you are doing what I described above?? Setting it high, then turning it off, slowing down to 80 or 70 then hitting resume and it kicks down to get you back to 100???

Hmmm ok, doesn't sound right in that case.
