Not to sure if this is the right spot but i got a question to ask.

Does anyone in Townsville know of a Go Kart hire place in Townsville or the surrounding areas?

Not sure mate.

You could always try the track and see what they offer.

The go-karts across from the drag strip is the only place I know of, but i dont think they do hire for people who just want to go once in a blue moon. The nearest place I can think of is near Mareeba I think.

There was a track near the end of woolcock st many years ago (like over 10yrs ago!) where you could go hire one for a few laps.

Fairly sure that one closed ages ago...may have reopened??

Cairns has a Kart track on the highway near Yorkeys Knob turnoff and as said the Mako Track near Mareeba. One hour inland from Cairns.

The only gokarts are across from drags, but i dont know about kart hire.
(they are a club, not a commercial operation as such)

I was only talking to someone else about this yesterday, with the local elections and the clowns talking about a decent Motorsport complex. I have a cart in the shed new everything and haven't had a go in it yet. Going to go race in fat boy class.

Well the "clowns" have to try... and are at least giving it a go now.

Sadly the gokart track will be forced to close, same with the drag strip because of all the hosuing going up right at its boundary fence. Blame the council for rezoning an industrial area to housing

Aparently a camry is equilivent to a Falcon XR6. Never going with avis again. Or next time drive the ute up. Good game at the cowboys tonight but. This would have to be one of my most favourite towns to visit. Staying at bushland beach with the Girlfriends family.
