HELP FG alarm going off constantly

Hi guys,
Friend of mine is at my new house and his FG XR8 alarm just started going off and has been constantly. Noticed at first that his indicators were stuck on.

Thought it might have something to do with battery (which is now flat) but attaching some jumper leads made it worse. Rang the RACV 2 hours ago and still waiting. Good way to make friends with the new neighbours.

He has 2 keys on the key ring that look like they might belong to an alarm but don't know where to put them.

HELP???

Under the bonnet there should be a little black box somewhere - probably toward the firewall, that the key goes into to switch it off, not sure quite where it is on the FG though

It should turn off once you charge the battery and press unlock to deactivate the alarm from the keyfob. Atleast that's always worked for me. If it won't shut up, the alarm siren is in the front right wheel arch near the dual horns.

Sounds like the battery is nearly had it.

This is a feature that the alarm depends on the main battery and if it drops the alarm goes off.This is a early warning to change your battery

Thanks for the advice guys, in the end if we opened the car and turned the lights on it made the alarm quiet enough to not bother any one. I think maybe not enough voltage to run the alarm but just enough to let the alarm think it had power. Disconnecting battery made it loud again so I assume it goes onto some sort of internal battery.

Anyway got a decent torch and found the black box for the alarm and switched it off with the key.

I think maybe his alternator/battery is on the way out cause he'd just driven 25 minutes to get here.

I am stumped .As I have the alarm system fitted but never had a key.
What does it look like?
Is there a chance to get one even after all these years ,car was new in March 04
