Beer Can Chicken Recipe

One whole Chicken

One 375ml can any Beer.

Drink half the can of beer.

Insert the can into the chickens rear opening.

Stand up right, so the can and chicken legs form a tripod.

Roast as per usual

The beer flavour infuses as the chicken roasts.

See, right there you've got a problem.

I don't know if I could stop at drinking only half the can.

We did this at work a few years ago, turned out alright. We always talked about using different beers ( ie. more malted beers, stouts etc) for more flavour but as yet never tried it yet

Revised recipe

Beer Can Chicken Recipe

One whole Chicken

grab One 375ml can any Beer open & sit aside momentarily.

grab another 375ml can any Beer open & Drink half the can of beer.

Insert the can into the chickens rear opening, while grabing the previously opened can of beer and drink it.

Stand up right, so the can and chicken legs form a tripod.

grab another 375ml can any Beer open & Drink it

Roast as per usual

grab another 375ml can any Beer open & Drink it

grab another 375ml can any Beer open & Drink it

grab another 375ml can any Beer open & Drink it

The beer flavour infuses as the chicken roasts. but so has the charcoal that has covered the outside of the chicken, because you drunk to much beer and forgot about the chicken.

Throw chicken in the bin and grab the other 3 6 packs of beer out of the fridge and go over to a mates place for a bbq

Enjoy !!![/QUOTE]

It works great in a webber. Have a look here for a rub to put on the skin for extra flavour.

My missus makes a great chicken in herbed beer sauce dish, very nice. Beer bread is good also!

Also, put some of the beer into a spray bottle, and spray the outside of the chook occasionally while it's cooking... good basting material! :1syellow1
