Mine didn't have it, but it does now. Pretty sure it was only a mont thing too, just make sure that you get it from an SII/III. I made the mistake of getting some from a SI and it doesn't have the slot in it to put the boot release tag through, only realised when I saw the slot on another members car lol.

I have a slot in the passenger side of the boot carpet where the fuel flap release is but the boot release is definitely under the bootlid (and carpet too atm : )

Seems like a strange thing to move between series, I wonder what was wrong with having it on the side? Mine's an S1 and I'm pretty sure it's on the side.

The extra 10cm of cable cost too much

Can do but not until I get home and definitely not with this useless Vodafone wireless broadband :
It does make a difference though, I can't believe Ford didn't give it to the XR's from factory.

I know that by posting this you are going to hate me but...

You could have gotten the xmas tree plugs for about $5 from supercrap or ricerbarn.

I would have put pics up for you too, I didn't forget. It has been raining a fair bit up here (YAY finally, we are almost out of water!) and the only time it hasn't been up until today was when it was dark and 5am.
