Nah guys! Don't read into my note in that way - bit hard to interpret in written form... 71Val asked, he got the "forums" answer. That's why I noted the bit about doing a search before posting. I got smashed when I first joined and it really put my off the forums to be honest. I was just making sure he wouldn't get the same sort of posts that I got!

Anyway, back on topic!

Coupes!! More coupes - pics of coupes, glorious coupes!!!

It's nicely done but the flames are a little 70s. I think shakers should stick with XYs. Still it's got a lot of presence.

i like the flames - not too much, just subtle enough
the theme with the mirror, tailpipes etc is done very well - something inidividual, but still unmistakenly a coupe

Default Show us your coupe

Hope your XC project goes well. Looks like you have alot of work to do.
At least you have got good motivation to turn out a nice car, shame about the circumstances though.

Luckily for me the guy that i bought it off had done all the hard work and removed all the rust to get it back on the road, He had done a terrible job of the panelbeating though but luckily i know a excellent panelbeater/painter thats doing it for me at a great price and hes stripped 90% of the car back to bare metal so nothing falls off down the track lol

71valiant I would love to go with airbags and cant wait to see your landau when its sitting on the rails!!!

I can't wait to get her started, the guys doing it are looking forward to the job too. He has an HQ coupe he has bagged, (probag.com.au) is their site (can I say that?) There is quite a few people saying they are the ones to do the job..
The main reason for going down this path is to have variable ride height, road surface dependant. Plus... who doesn't like a coupe as low as possible!
I go for a quote on tuesday 14.4.09.
Let's hope I get carried away ay!! :evil3:

Fantastic!! Looks great, pretty much the perfect combo. So glad it didn't end up as a GT replica like so many others.

Cheers.

Yes, please put up more pics. Looks fantastic. The red striped tyres go really well with the car. The interior colour suits too. Done well mate.

Thanks for the responses.
The 1977 XC Coupe Wheels are the same as the ZJ/ZK Fairlane and they are the Volante style. They are different from the GXL wheel.
Luckily I still have the spare so I am only after 4 for my Coupe and a set of GXL wheels for my GXL.
They will turn p one day.
Here is a pictire of the Volante (the spare from my coupe).

Regards

Wayne
