traction control switch should be on the console
if not u might not have it fitted ans someone has done a cluster swap..

the abs... check the abs rings on the wheel hubs and make sure they all all still there....
and that u actually have abs rings at all!!

Does the light come on before or after the vehicle starts moving?
Are all 4 wheels and tyres the same size?

If your au has got gas/fuel, the traction control wont work on gas, it will only work on petrol, mine has got the same problem, looks like you have to find an abs/traction control module, I think they can be repaired by a place in NSW, just can't remember the name

That price for the module is about what I paid for one back in May. Was OK up until a month ago when the ABS light came back on. I managed to get it replaced under warranty but it got me thinking my Auto sparky must have got a reco one at this price.

Hi, Mulletmun,
I have a 99 AU Ghia and I have the same problem. I got the diagnosis for free, because I was gonna pay the 'leccy 600 dollars for a fix with a recon unit.
But ... I'm gonna buy the recon unit for $180 from the guy below and put it in myself.

Just a question...

Anyone checked the fuses in the inside pannel?

there is a red 10 amp fuse you can pull out and it turns off the system.. i do it all the time for driving on the dirt roads...

Just a thought... 1 dollar for fuse or 108 for ford???

Hi eXi7w0und,
I don't think so. He told me to remove the module carefully. Wrap it VERY carefully and send it to him. He fixes it and returns it.
