Default My falcon is a TAXI?

I took out my cluster and it says taxi on it.

The car is a 6 seater taxi with column shift.

It was a company car from Nestle and we bought it directly from them 11yrs ago.

So I'm guessing it was built as a taxi and bought as a company car.

Do the taxi built falcons have anything different on them over the standard falcons?

6 seats and column shift is the main difference as you said
Maybe rubber floor mats and less fancy trims
Higher Amp alternator, larger battery (though after 11 years this might not still be so), dual horns, stronger springs and steel wheels with centre caps were the main features of taxis

Also possibly LPG

Hmmm probably aint a taxi then.

It has standard rims, 1 horn, snowflake rims and is polynesian green.

It's also a falcon classic I might add.

you mentioned you pulled the cluster & saw "TAXI" written on it. The reading on the odometer might be another handy bit of info ;)

It had 80 000k's when I bought it and was a company car at nestle like that an employee packages.

It wasn't a taxi but I was wondering if it was built to be a taxi.

But with all the accessories I have are nothing like the taxi options listed above.

So it had only covered 80,000kms over 2 or 3 years? Mustn't have been a taxi for very long. Maybe it simply happened to have some parts (such as the cluster) thrown its way while getting assembled that were originally consigned to taxis?

6 seats and column shift I am sure are not really a standard build so when requested they probably get flagged as taxi but delivered to the private buyer, just easier to build it that way when its on the production line.

Would most likely be a taxi pack, but it probably never ended up being a taxi.

alot of gli clusters have taxi on the back on a piece of paper stuck to the back of the cluster, not just taxis.
