? Bold ? sounds like a lot of tax being paid that could be better worked for a better return. Not here to argue or really worry about it, the owner wrote how he was disapointed with his return, my reply was try a new accountant and get some alternate advice on setting things up to work more in your favour, from being in a similar situation i have probably pulled 10K plus back for the last 5 years. Nothing smart / bold or funny about my reply that i saw.

If ya not eligible for deductions, you're not eligible Sounds like your old accountant wasnt worth his/her salt doc? Whereas i could spend hundreds on an accountant and still wind up with a $27 bill lol. PAYG, no deductions, no investments :(

As for the thread starter... i wanted lunch, but didnt have any money. So i went to the ATM and took out $20. Then bought lunch. It was the happiest day of my life and i tear up just thinking about it.

That must be the only use of that emoticon...

As for 12000 I think that was a rhetorical question, or even more confusing, a question that we should know the answer too as the sarcasm hinted in the question was directed at Us.

By the way these biscuits taste funny. :

IMO, better to get a decent financial planner and your accountant to work in concert. eg..Macquarie Bank has some excellent products to decrease marginal tax rates. FWIW, that recommendation came from the planner that I use who's a Westpac affiliate

Steve
no commercial interests etc etc

Please share your money stories?

I also want to know how yous haved saved up on a pension to pay about 2000.00 difference on a car you want and get 1500.00 tradein?.

thanks for your time

Easy...the first thing i did was went down to the local library and borrowed a copy of THE SECRET on DVD and watched it.
I then realised it was a load of crap, got up off my ***, drew my pension out of the bank, bought a cheap box trailer, hydroponic setup and petrol generator and towed it around behind my piece of crap trade-in until it matured.
Then i took the whole lot to that caryard where you can trade anything in (saw it on TT or ACA) and bought a camel.

Hahaha, Nah at my place, i have a system that goes, as soon as it smells it gets cleaned or thrown out, so she wont do them!
But speaking of rubber things, theres one type i use plenty of that should be deductible...
