google "lowering blocks" and you should find some useful info for lowering leaf-sprung cars ;)

Yes, suspension joins should do this.

Thread isn't the most useful link but you could PM some of the members?

I disagree. I've run both Pedders Stage 1 Lowered Heavy Duty springs and also lowering blocks on standard springs in my AU wagon, and the ride is way better using blocks. Replacement or reset leaves are "More" legal, but as long as you use good/new shocks, the lowering blocks work well.

Cost of blocks is around $80 for a pedders/whiteline kit. Fitting time = 1 hr or approx $90 labour. Fronts are around $160 pair new springs, plus around 90mins fitting ($150 labour), or around $300 all up for the front, $450-ish for the lot, or $500 with a wheel alignment.

I agree.

I had blocks in my XE (sure is was a 351) and the handling was shocking and axle trap was worst. Once I had the springs reset handling improved greatly and axl trap disappeared. I'd never use blocks again.

Ive got blocks in mine and its not as bad as people say. I got 2.5 inch blocks off ebay for $80. Lowering blocks are legal if made if of alloy or steel or any other stronger material. Id say go for it.
