Hey mate what part do you think you would have trouble with:

Removing the old one?
Making the Wiring Loom?
Running speaker Wires?
Installing the new one including making mounts?
All if the above?

Thanks Jake

i live in Oakleigh and done a heap of stereos for mates and the One in my AU XR8

One Really good suggestion is to go to J.B Hifi and ask for an adaptor for the AU they might have the right one for your head unit so no cutting of wires just plug and play. If they don't have one to suet your head unit buy one and cut it to make your own adaptor harness so you don't have to cut the factor wiring which is what i had to do for my Head unit

And make sure u get the right au single din pocket, fits much better than universal ones and helps mount the stereo. And yeah do what toyotaxr8 said. Just finished puttimg a system in my bro's au, i will try and get some of the pictures we took.

I have a set of head unit keys for an EF.... which I'm told are the same as an AU. If you wanted to swing by my place I'm sure we could get it out! PM me if you like.

Otherwise there's the 'persuasion' method I had to use on a mates AU head unit that had been removed, the tags broken off the pins and then re-installed at a later date. Had to detach the face off the fron of the unit... not pretty when you consider AU unit's are non-detachable!

Aerpro make those adaptor looms to suit AUs, you just grab the one based on what head unit youre using, they do them for Alpine, Pioneer, Clario and Sony from memory. If you cant find one let me know, I have them all in stock at work.
