Default V8 capri brake conversions

I was wondering what other people have used to upgrade there V8 capri's
As in
Master cylinder
Brake booster
front rotors and calipers
rear drum or disks

What works best for you,

tyre size would help if you like to stop, (front runners) 165 s ???

Cheers

With my Capri I ran XD calipers and discs up front using the Castlemaine kit, XD Drums on rear, and a slightly unusual small Datsun 120Y booster with XC Master Cylinder (had to to clear Clevo rocker covers). I ran 14" rims with 195's on the front. These worked ok, but I really wanted more brake.

If I had to do it all again I would run 4spots on front with decent discs, perhaps 300mm, and run rear discs. I would say the same booster/master setup would still be the way to go, though the master will have to suit 4WDiscs Hoppers Stoppers kits look ok, or you could go custom.

I use a gemini booster with the std capri master cylinder. XE discs slightly machined for different bearings on the front, HQ style calipers, XE rear drums. Works ok. Passes engineer aproval in W.A. anyway. A mate just got the hoppers stopers kit. Very NIce. You can use the gemini booster with a xb master cyl. This would get you a better pedal feel. I also have a clevo onboard. If ya want any more info just ask.

Cheers

Ive heard that the Range Rover master cylinder is a 1" jobbie (same as Falcon) but bolts straight onto the Capri booster & it's reservoir is the right angle for the tilt of the Capri master cylinder

May well be right, but if memory serves me right if a V8 is going into the engine bay then you will have clearance issues with the original booster. Correct me if I'm wrong, its been a while

Is this for engineering/rego purposes or purely a track car? Depends on the performance level also. Mine was a Cleveland powered one, used XW Kelsey Hayes vented discs on the front and the large finned GT type drums on the rear. No booster with the std Capri master cyl to get rocker covers off quickly(engine was solid lifter camshaft). Car was a budget strip only car and it pulled up no worries from running 7.6 1/8th mile times on limited braking area. Car had just normal 205`s on the front not front runner type tyres.
