Default Australian International Airshow.

Hi guy's, has anybody ever been to this event, I have never been and the wife and I are thinking off heading down tomorrow but I'm keeping a close eye on the weather site because it look's like it might rain down there????, and it would be useless to go if it rain's all day, and it's fairly costly to get in, so to those that have been, is it worth while??????.

I guess it depends on how much into planes you are

I like the jets and some others but some of it drags out a bit. I have a mate who goes to all 3 days from start to finish, he loves it. Worth going for a looksy if you havent been, considering it's every 2 years.

I wish I could go. But alas, I live in Sydney. I reckon it would be worth going at least once just for the experience and just so you know what goes on there. Its open to the public from Friday arvo til Sunday right?

Are you kidding its awesome, I guess its every guys dream to be a fighter pilot; but seriously Id kill for that "job".

At work today and yesterday (in Geelong) the Jets are flying around, nothing like that sound and the rumble!

Every year I say "yeah ill go next year" but I still haven't done it after two shows (four years); perhaps the next one... :

I was there 2 years ago, my company had a stall. Air displays were pretty good, but quite a it of it is aimed towards the air industry.

45 bucks for a ticket and 10 bucks to park the car starts getting a bit steep to see some planes.
It all depends how into it you are.

Now if they had a JSF F35 Lightning II, or a F22 Raptor I'd go.

But there doesn't look like there's anything extraordinary there so Pffffft......

i used to go every time it was on and every day mainly cause i got in for free. if i had to pay i wouldn't have gone most times.

it is well worth it if you haven't been but i wont go for a fair while now i dont think.
i live real close to the show so i get all the planes circling my house untill they go do stuff over the show.
plus i can hear and feel the explosions etc here so yeh. i hear a noise and go yep they r doing this and this now :P

There was an airshow at Richmond airbase (NSW) last year, a great day out.
Well worth wasting time at an airshow, but im a bit of an aircraft geek hehehe
I took some friends, all they did was whinge all the way about how boring its going to be, needless to say watching the fly bys by over your head changed that :
heres some random youtube vid i found from the Richmond air show:
