Default boredom and the aftermath

I was bored today so i decided to start the mods on the wagon.

I started with some colour changes to the inside. Mainly cause the console was buggered when i got it.

So it is now painted Gloss Black and the Shifter surround, Stereo surround and around both the speedo cluster and climate control is all Blue Mica.

Below is a pic showing the Drivers Door which has now had the same treatment and shows the Blue Mica colour.
I will get pics of the inside probably tomorrow.

Let me know what you think

Your internal decor skills need some improvement. Just go to the wreckers and get a Fairmont interior

Nah thats the whole thing. I didnt want it to look like that. I wanted it to look different and it will all look good once its all finished which will include a Stereo install in the rear of the wagon

Apparently some people were never taught "if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all" when they were kids.

It looks a lot better than a lot of other DIY interior jobs I've seen. What do you plan on doing with the seats, etc?

Lets keep negative comments to ourselves. Good job mate. If your happy with it, stuff what anyone thinks. We modify things to our liking, not to please others.

All the doors are going to look the same as the one in the pic.

Once the stereo install is finished it will all look good together.
Yes the original carpet insert is still on the door i just darkened it to suit the black theme.

ford made it, sold it to someone who probably sold it to someone who etc etc then he bought it.

you could option an EA ghia with a manual for no extra cost. pretty rare to find tho.

Yeah it was a genuine factory 5 speed Fairmont Ghia.

They only made a couple of hundred of them and like Johnxr6 stated the came as a no cost option with them.
And yes it was a great car but it died a horrible death.

Certainly looks a little different.. Should look great once you finish it completely and it all ties in together.

Must be the time of year for changing interiors :

top job for effort, its good to see something different than the standard grey interiors and Fairmont conversions. I dont think the blue works very well tho, maybe try a shade of grey or silver.
