today after about a ten km drive i got out and could smell like something was burning and something always sounds tinniy in the exhaust. im thinking the cat could have collapsed?

I would say cat has collapsed, it is now partly blocked, getting very hot and making the smell, when cold climb under and give it a thump and have a listen.

Yeah that is a normal smell for new exhaust systems.
It should go away in about a week or so

it got real bad the other day i could smell it through the vents. its not worrying me much though because it keeps stalling by itself but that could be the tps or fuel filter cause it needs a tune up

collapsed cat will back up exhaust gas, cause high back pressure and will make a car stall as well.
