Default V8 manifold

hey im just asking cos im not sure.. do all AU V8's have the same manifold are they all explorer's and are the ports the same?

Yeh I'm pretty sure they are all the same and they do call them the explorer manifold, not sure about the ports I would say they are the same...

As far as I know the AUIII T-series came with a different manifold and the 220kw were port matched.

all the same explorer manifold, T-Series have a unique one and you have a snowballs chance in hell of getting one of those without either buying a T3 or a T3 complete engine.

Something else worth noting is that the 220kw XR8 lower manifold was modified by Yella Terra to increase the cross-section of the intake runner where it meets the cylinder head.

I've never seen it with my own eyes though. I'd love to know how much it was opened up, because that is the biggest restriction in the manifold right there...

ok thanks guys well i just bought an explorer manifold of a fairmont V8 for $330 so i wont complain it will be port matched to port E7 heads
