Take care this weekend forum boys and girls, we currently have 3 large bush fires around the state, one in Baringa/Dereel(Ballarat), Alpine National Park and Gippsland area.
We are execpting more fires this weekend as it will the worst bush fire day in the last 50years. To the people who are in those areas mentioned above please take care and best of luck. more information on fires www.cfa.vic.gov.au www.dse.vic.gov.au Cheers And in the event of a fire please dont try and run at the last minute as you will most likely not get out and die (sorry to put it so blantenly) |

Over here in bendigo, we've had smoke as think as heavy fog over the whole town and surrounding areas all day. The fires over there must be real bad for it to be like this. Weve only just hit summer too :(

I started one out near Daylesford yesterday (or the day before? I can't remember), and didnt see you out there fighting it Anthony! Pfffft, not good enough mate ;)
Big thanks all the CFA boys who helped get it out! They rocked up ultra quick (about 6 trucks) and had it under control very quickly, only 5 hectares lost. Awesome job.

It seems the smoke we're getting up here is from the Vic bushfires.
If you guys must burn your state down please try to keep the smoke on your side of the border!!
